Pink Purse

Here is the purse in pink I made from Bendigo cotton 8ply..It is quite sweet, but not the correct size.. There are a few alinement's I will have to watch when making the next . I think I will crochet the seams on the outside to make it a little different from the original pattern. But all in all I am pleased with pattern. The cotton used in the pattern from Lion Brand is cotton ease and the size when finished should measure6x10".

Bead knitting and crochet: Bendigo cottons

Bead knitting and crochet: Bendigo cottons

Bendigo cottons

I love my Bendigo cotton, I had the good fortune to travel to the city of Bendigo and to the mill,( after all isn't that why I wanted to go the lovely town ) I was thrilled when we parked the car and I practically ran into the shop, I was so excited.. They also had a back room where you could explore deep boxes of slightly soiled cotton, or seconds.. So far none of mine have had any marks....... If you are able to visit this mill, I promise you , you will not be disappointed .

A bit of Longford..

It is such a great day, I couldn't resist the temptation, to take a few pics of the historic town of Longford...... Everyone seemed to be out and about today, taking advantage of the winter sun.Walking around the town, I stopped at the Church where the winter leaves covered the ground. The trees in the church grounds would have to be 100yrs old.. I couldn't help but think of the people who had been through these doors . Farmers,  wives and children. Store owners,Workers, how far they travelled in their horse and carts.. What a marvelous history.

Porcelain baby doll

I was introduced to beadknitting for half porcelain dolls , just a couple of years ago..I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. Well It has taken over a part of my life.. I have these dolls around my home , I have made outfits for tassle dolls, knitted dresses for tiny bears, and given gifts of these beautiful hand made porcelain dolls...
The latest doll is the one in the pic to the left, beautifully made by Kerry jaeger..
